Feel like home

“Yes, you can stay at my place until you figure out your plan.”  I was utterly blown away by the generosity of a new friend I just met in person for a few days.  Still being strangers last week, we’ve already felt like old friends after a whole day of conversation on art, travel, cooking, gardening, couch surfing, sexuality, spirituality… This is precisely what I miss from the US – diverse & in-depth discussion on topics I am passionate about.

Can I say I actually feel like home here?  I can’t exactly put my finger on the specific reasons, but everything feels foreign yet familiar (sort of like Déjà vu) - the bus rides, the streets, the parks, the meaningful dialogues, and the long-lost feeling of aloneness, etc.  My second host shares my heart on sustainable development as well as poverty in the globe.  Simply moved by encountering another individual who is aspired to building bridges for the brilliant mind and the needy, I too continue to ponder on how I as an artist can use my creativity on making our world a better place.

"Feel like home" by Chantal Kreviazuk – YOU doesn’t necessarily have to be a person.  The pronoun can also represent an experience, a memory, or a dream, etc.

The famous "Sunflower Seeds" by Ai Weiwei being packed away in Tate Modern.

Suitcase Beetle: "My freaking back hurts.  How am I going to climb all those stairs?"

Suitcase Beetle: "Look, I have tons of friends here, bro.  Don't you worry about me.
Will have a blast till your return next week."
Stretching & Tai Chi in the beautiful morning is an absolutely terrific experience.

Lovely new friends, L & A, in London!

And A said this is my "porn star" shot...  I can finally get one after all these years... lol

  2. This continues to be an eye-opening experience of how the flow can take you to incredible encounters~~ Thus, like you said, there is not much to worry. Simply trust in the possibility of life & go along with it~~~
Yes, let's see how I will feel about the term "home" after a month or so, haha...
Of course, I'm determined on my passion, but meeting more partners on similar path strengthen my heart!

  11. well it may sound silly to u but i jz decided to spend my 11.11.11 (6 legs altogether!)in europe~ dunno y the idea of the legs has been so luring to me since the beginning of 2011~ again, it's totally intuitive, maybe i wud get to know y on that day! :P so my return date wud prob be 11.13~ (hopefully my boss could stay calm when it comes to her!)

will u be interested in 撒哈拉的星空 too? if u didn't forget, i had told u the incredible experience of sleeping under the starry sky of the desert in india~ it's like u r being embraced by the whole universe~ i think it's the latitude, humidity & solitude of the desert that makes up the uniqueness~ and after reading 牧羊少年奇幻之旅 & the little prince (again), i think it's time for me to spend 35 minutes to cross the strait of gibraltar from the very south tip of spain to morocco (the entrance of the sahara), and spend a nite or two in the desert, jz like the young shepherd did to discover what was really meant to him~

anyways, u go forth & figure out ur plan first~ then let's see how we can work out our “adventure” in spain~ =)(even if it doesn't work out, we can still see each other in london! :P)

Starry night in desert? Sound awesome to me! Though I don't exactly know how my plan will unfold yet, I'm shooting for Spain in Sep. Hope nothing will get in the way of this chapter of the story. Let's keep each other posted~~
